It was an impressive 30 year run for the Sony Walkman, but it has come to an end. Along with floppy disks and other iconic technical gadgets time has moved on.
After 30 years the sales were down and they discontinued the item, but in a rapidly changing electronic world 30 years is like 300 hundred years. Floppy disks had an impressive lifespan too, I think 1MB used to be a lot.
